Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri is an Indian actor who earned recognition for her performance in Hum Aapke Hain Koun and Beta Saajan. In the 1980s, she began her acting career becoming popular due to her role of Tezaab, in which she co-starred with famous actor Anil Kapooor. In the next film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. She was born into the Mumbai middle class family. She began dancing at a young age. She began acting when she was a youngster and struggled for a few years as most of her films at first ended up being flops. Then she found her way to success and went on to be one of the top actors in the Indian film business. Following her wedding, she took some time away from performing until she returned. Dixit played an important role in Gulaab Gang, a film about women's struggles in India. Dixit has been recognized in 15 Filmfare Awards. Of these, she has won 8. Padma Shri is the fourth highest civilian distinction in India. Her fame is based on her involvement in social work too.
